Tracking My Progress
Essential Measurements
The Importance
"This is important - when I started the Challenge whilst looking through the passport I saw that USN wanted weekly measurements."
Why Assess
In the My Strategy segment of the website, under Strategic Intelligence I discussed briefly;.

Handling the blues
If you have read the rest of my inputs within the website I am sure you will notice that it is focused on the different aspects of achieving results physically, this part will be about how I managed to keep motivated mentally, here I will try and explain why the structure around achieving physical results as well as seeing those results will provide continued motivation mentally thereby driving you forward as the weeks progress.
I am going to try and explain the dynamics around my approach toward the USN Body & Lifestyle Challenge in order for you to understand the importance of your decision to transform not just physically but mentally.
Let's look at the basic structure again. My Team!!!

If you have read the My Strategy segment you will know why this is important, some team members are there to offer support and some are there to keep you focused on your goal.
Mentally both are imperative in order for you to achieve your goal; however the most important aspect is your primary motivation as to why you are doing the USN Body & Lifestyle Challenge, your Decision.
Take the time to sit down and really reflect on why you are doing this, if there is one thing I would like to mention here is for you not to make it a one dimensional decision. Make your decision multi layered so that when the time comes and you need to reflect back on why you started the challenge that there is more than one reason to motivate yourself with.
Monitor, Measure and React to your progress, break the challenge up and focus on short term goals. This will keep you motivated and will also provide you with the ability of rewarding yourself mentally with achievements made throughout the week.
Don't remove yourself from social activity, there is no need to. Be proud of what you are trying to achieve, I personally got a lot of flack from my friends within our social group and I am sure you will to. But now at the end of my transformation everybody wants to know how. It's strange how individuals react to change especially if it's for the good. There is one rule here... No Alcohol!!!!.
This spells disaster, stay away from it at all costs. It desensitises you making snacks and unhealthy food irresistible, alcohol is also the worst calorie and carries no nutritional value at all except for converting unused calories.
Keep focused on your decision and utilise your support.
On the 12th of January 2009 I started the USN Lifestyle Challenge
I could definitely start seeing results (it started to pay off)
I could clearly see the benefit that this programme was bringing to me
